Hovis is giving away a free £10 shopping voucher to key workers who are working through Christmas – from doctors and nurses to pub owners, police and firefighters. All key workers need to do is email [email protected] with their name and job description.

The voucher will be redeemable at leading supermarkets including Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s. Mark Brown, Chief Marketing Officer at Hovis said: “This Christmas, Brits are reflecting on what truly matters. It’s not about the mountain of presents, but the warmth of loved ones, the comfort of home, and gratitude for the everyday blessings – especially those who keep us safe and well.

“That’s why we at Hovis are giving back to our holiday heroes, recognising their sacrifices with a small token of appreciation.”

The initiative comes as the British bread brand launches a ‘win a family holiday’ competition across its Hovis Best of Both loaves to celebrate its partnership with That Christmas, Netflix’s 2024 festive family film.

Directed by animation veteran Simon Otto (How to Train Your Dragon trilogy) and penned by Richard Curtis and Peter Souter, the film stars Brian Cox as Santa, Fiona Shaw (Ms Trapper), Jodie Whittaker (Mrs Williams), and Bill Nighy (Bill) as the residents of a charming seaside town, which is hit by the blizzard of a century, and threatens to cancel Christmas.

The film also features the original song “Under the Tree” written by Ed Sheeran and Johnny McDaid and performed by Ed Sheeran.
