The Duke of Edinburgh has made a festive visit to Northern Ireland to see the work of those making the season brighter for children and families this Christmas.

Prince Edward visited Cash for Kids, Northern Ireland’s largest gift appeal, as their Mission Christmas appeal enters its final week for people deliver their gifts and cash donations.

The Prince was seen getting stuck in organising the many items generously donated by the Northern Irish public, as he met local volunteers at their Belfast headquarters.

The Duke of Edinburgh also met local radio personalities Pete Snodden and Rebecca McKinney.

With 1 in 4 children now living in poverty, the charity is working round the clock to ensure no child in Northern Ireland wakes up without a gift on Christmas morning.
