Due to an ongoing incident three lanes of Nelson Street in Belfast city centre are currently blocked. Delays are to be expected at Nelson Street off slip leaving the M2.

UPDATE: Belfast – an earlier collision on Nelson Street has now been cleared.

The Coast Road in Glenarm is closed in both directions between the Dickeystown Road and the Drumnagreagh Road following a road traffic collision this morning, Wednesday 11 December.

At about 8.30am this morning, the PSNI said in a statement: “Road users are advised that the Mossfield Road, Irvinestown, is closed in both directions due to a road traffic collision.
“Diversions are in place. Please seek an alternative route for your journey.”

Co Down road partially closed following crash

The Halfway Road in Banbridge is currently partially blocked due to a road traffic collision. 
Traffic is down to one lane northbound and delays are likely. Drivers should avoid the area if possible and seek an alternative route for their journey.

Emergency services at scene of crash on M1

Emergency services are at the scene of a crash on the M1 West bound between J9 Moira and J10 Lough Road.
All vehicles involved are now off the carriageway. Drivers have been warned to slow down as emergency vehicles in attendance may be located on the live carriageway.

UPDATE: All emergency vehicles have now left the scene. However, DfI has said the motorway may have to be closed for a short time overnight to allow for the recovery of a vehicle that has left the carriageway.

Update: Long tailbacks caused by Sydenham Bypass crash

Delays are now stretching right back on the M2 as far as the Sandyknowes Roundabout, and the M5, even stretching back on the Shore Road towards Greenisland.

The Sydenham Bypass remains closed heading out of the city at Dee Street.

East Belfast crash

Police are attending a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the Bangor-bound lane of the A2 Sydenham bypass at the Dee Street junction – traffic is being diverted into the Harbour Estate / Dee Street Bridge.
Delays are expected and traffic heading to George Best Belfast City Airport will be affected. 
There are also significant knock on delays on the M2 citybound – delays back to J4 Sandyknowes

Crash causing delays on Westlink

Road users are advised of a multi-vehicle road traffic collision on the A12 Westlink leaving Belfast just past the Clifton Street on slip. The road is currently closed westbound and traffic is being diverted down Great Georges Street towards North Queen Street or alternatively along York Street towards the M2. Traffic can still access the Westlink from Clifton Street. Due to the location of this collision, delays can be expected.
