McDonald’s has reintroduced its famous Grimace Shake following a triumphant launch at summer’s end, but fans will need to act fast. The renowned beverage has made a comeback in UK outlets for a limited period.
The sensational concoction rejoins McDonald’s Festive menu from today (Wednesday, December 11) and will be available for a mere fortnight or until supplies run out, urging customers to swiftly secure their indulgence. The shake incorporates a tangy blueberry flavoured syrup into its rich milkshake foundation.
Its original debut earlier in the year caused a stir among McDonalds enthusiasts, with one fan writing on social media: “It needs to stay, it’s absolutely delicious.”
Oakley concurred: “Should be a permanent drink like this, messaging you agree.”
This season, the Grimace Shake Cold Cup is more than just a treat; it features a QR code which patrons can scan to contribute to Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, aiding families with hospitalised children over the holiday period, reports the Mirror.
Available in both medium and large sizes, with prices starting at £2.69 and elevating to £2.99, the Grimace Shake sits alongside other festive delights currently up for grabs at McDonald’s.
New additions include the Terry’s Chocolate Orange Pie filled with chocolate ganache, as well as the Terry’s Chocolate Orange McFlurry and the Galaxy Caramel McFlurry, a soft dairy ice cream swirled with Galaxy Chocolate stars and topped with a Galaxy Caramel sauce. The festive menu also sees the return of two hot drinks – the Galaxy Caramel Latte and Galaxy Caramel Hot Chocolate.
For customers looking to try something new, McDonald’s has introduced the Cheesy McCrispy, a burger with 100% chicken breast fillet in a crispy, crunchy coating, served with lettuce, crispy onions, pink pickled onion chutney, bacon, two slices of cheese, and cheese sauce. Other burgers joining the line-up include the return of the Big Tasty and Big Tasty (with Bacon).
The Christmas offering also includes the Cheese Melt Dippers with Rich Tomato Sauce. These breaded cheese dippers are made with Camembert and served with a tomato dip and are available as a share box.
For the young ones, from November 20 to December 31, the Grinch will be making his way to McDonald’s Happy Meal. Each limited-edition Happy Meal comes with one of eight Grinch and Friends toys, featuring plush Christmas decorations and Grinch family card games or the exclusive ‘Twelve Days of Grinchmas’ tale.
