York Regional Police are investigating multiple instances of rocks being thrown at moving vehicles in Markham and Whitchurch-Stouffville since the beginning of September.

The most recent incidents were reported on Dec. 1 at about 12:30 a.m. in the Main St.-Park Dr. area of Stouffville involving a light-coloured SUV being hit.
York police are working with the OPP, who are actively investigating several similar incidents in the Hwy. 48-Major Mackenzie Dr. area.
Investigators asked that anyone who has been the victim of such an incident to report it to police as they are following up with all leads. They also appealed to the public for help in identifying suspects and vehicles involved and for anyone who may have dashcam video from any of these incidents.

COPS APPEAL FOR HELP IN IDENTIFYING CRASH VICTIM
Toronto Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the victim of a fatal collision in the Ossington Ave.-Bloor St. W. area.
On Tuesday at about 8:25 p.m., a male pedestrian believed to be about 55 years old had just left Ossington Station when a TTC bus exited and made a right turn to go south on Ossington.
Police said the victim was pinned under the front right side of the bus and transported to a trauma centre, but was later pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing and efforts are also underway by the coroner’s office and police to confirm the identity of the deceased, who is as an Asian male and about 5-foot-4 and 175 pounds. He was wearing green camouflage pants, a dark-coloured winter jacket and a brown tuque.
