Peel Regional Police have charged four men with a total of 13 firearm-related offences after a Dec. 4 traffic stop in Mississauga during which two handguns were allegedly seized.

Cops said the traffic stop came just after 4 a.m. and it was determined that the driver was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.
Police said officers allegedly found two illegal 9mm Glock 19 handguns, one of which was equipped with an extended magazine loaded with 30 rounds of ammunition and the other modified to fire automatically. One of the guns was found on a passenger.
Authorities said none of the individuals were lawfully permitted to own firearms.
Charged with five offences is Justin Salmon, 22, of Brampton, including not having a licence to drive. Adrian Gregory, 22, of Brampton faces three offences, Kerrick Campbell-Reid, 23, of Ridgeway, Ont., faces four offences and Benjamin Jaramillo, 22, of Thornhill faces one offence.

WOMAN ASSAULTED, ROBBED OF PURSE IN HAMILTON
Hamilton Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect.
Cops said shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 2, a 39-year-old female was walking eastbound on Main St. E. from Wellington Ave. S. where she was struck on the head from behind, knocked to the ground and robbed of her purse.
The victim sustained cuts to her head and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The male suspect is white, in his 20s or 30s and has short dark brown hair. He was wearing a tan vest and blue jeans.
About two hours later, cops said a male attempted to use the victim’s bank cards in the King St. E.-Ashley St. area.

SUSPECT IN FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT PROBE CUFFED
A 26-year-old Toronto man wanted in a forcible confinement investigation was found on Monday in the Church-Wellesley neighbourhood, police said.
Phoenix Macrae-Therien was charged with 10 offences after Toronto Police were called to the Warden Ave.-St. Clair Ave. E. area on Friday at about 10:30 p.m.
Police said the suspect allegedly confined the victim inside an apartment, threatened them with death and assaulted them with a weapon multiple times before the victim managed to flee. The suspect, who was known to the victim, fled before police arrived.
Police said when an officer attempted to arrest the accused, they threatened the officer with a knife but were eventually taken into custody with the help of other officers.

1 DEAD, 1 HURT AFTER CRASH IN WHITCHURCH-STOUFFVILLE
York Regional Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision in Whitchurch-Stouffville on Sunday at about 4:40 p.m.
The single-vehicle collision occurred in the Stouffville Rd.-Stalwart Industrial Dr. area, where the vehicle left the roadway and suffered significant damage.
When police arrived, the driver, a 60-year-old male, was located with fatal injuries and pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger, a 42-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
