Cops said on Saturday that officers found a structure along the CP Rail line north of Barton and information at the time indicated it was being used for illegal drug sale sales and storage.
Officers, in conjunction with CP police, entered the structure, which the alleged was known to drug traffickers as “The Shack,” and two males were placed under arrest under the authority of the Railway Safety Act while one dog was taken by animal control.
During the investigation, officers allegedly found 12.3 grams of fentanyl, 7.8 grams of methamphetamine, .22-calibre rounds and 12-gauge shotgun rounds, a replica 1911 Sig Sauer pistol and one can of bear spray.
Hamilton Police have charged one of the males — whose name they have yet to release — with 11 mostly drugs- and firearm-related charges, but also obstructing a police officer.
