Mario Lemina and Jarrod Bowen clashed at full-time after West Ham claimed a vital 2-1 win over Wolves on Monday night at the London Stadium.

With both managers of either side under immense pressure, a win was crucial for the two struggling sides in the Premier League.

Bowen ended up scoring the winning goal after Matt Doherty had cancelled out Tomas Soucek’s earlier header.

And tensions boiled over at full-time as both sets of players shook hands.

It what appeared to be an innocuous incident, Bowen took offence as he brushed past Lemina.

It ended with the two squaring up to each other before a grappling match that saw the two hit the floor.

In a flash, both sets of players got involved to pull them away from each other amid chaotic scenes at the London Stadium.

However, Lemina had appeared to see red as West Ham star Jean-Clair Todibo tried his best to calm him down.

The Wolves captain continued to rampage around the pitch while even his manager Gary O’Neil could not get him to see sense.

Lemina went to clap the away fans with players still trying to speak to him but he appeared to shrug them off.

Bowen, meanwhile, joined his team-mates in applauding the home fans on the other end of the pitch.

Both players received yellow cards for their roles in the post-match melee.

West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui was in desperate need of a victory amid reports that the club were preparing to bring in a replacement.

However, the Spaniard might have staved off the sack for the time being with the Hammers going up to 14th in the Premier League.

And he can thank his captain Bowen for a wonderful strike to secure all three points.
