A teenager has been hospitalised after being struck by a car in Belfast city centre last night.

The incident happened at the junction of Millfield and Castle Street on Saturday night.

Police and paramedics attended the collision at around 9.30pm.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a road traffic collision between a car and a pedestrian in the Millfield area of Belfast city centre, shortly before 9.30pm on Saturday evening.

“Officers attended and the pedestrian, a man aged in his late teens, was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101”.
