The PSNI is investigating an “incident” which is alleged to have taken place during a recent USA trip by members of the Armagh GAA.
The complaint is understood to have been made by one of the members of the party which travelled to Florida in November after the team won the All-Ireland final in July.
It was Armagh’s first All-Ireland title in 22 years after they clinched victory over Galway at Croke Park.
Around 30 players, the management team, family members and other senior figures from the Armagh County Board are understood to have spent a week in Miami in the middle of November.
The party is understood to have flown from Dublin to Miami on Wednesday November 13, and arrived back in Dublin a week later on November 20.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: “A report was made to the Police Service of Northern Ireland regarding an incident which is believed to have occurred in the United States in November.
“Enquiries are currently being carried out and no further details are available at present.”
Armagh GAA and the Ulster Council have been contacted for comment.
