Stewart Moore

Ulster’s Stewart Moore claps the fans after the game

Couldn’t stop Lebel for the opening try, and then some good scramble defence. Had a simple run in to score. Kept it going. 5

Werner Kok

Nearly got Lebel and missed a cross-kick before holding Lebel but not stopping the score. Produced a big hit on Willis threw himself about heroically. 6

Ben Carson

A nice early hit but smashed through by Ntamack for his try and then was removed early from the action, being replaced by Jude Postlethwaite. 3

Stuart McCloskey

Did his best in difficult circumstances but this was nearly all about back-foot stuff and just trying to prevent the inevitable. Hugely challenging. 4

Michael Lowry

Barely got the ball but did have one trademark spinning run in the opening half and did something similar in the second 40 minutes. 4

Aidan Morgan

Was stepped easily enough for Romain Ntamack’s disallowed effort, then a missed penalty shot to touch was ugly. It didn’t get easier from there. 3

Nathan Doak

InvestecStade Toulousain’s Antoine Dupont scores as Nathan Doak looks on

Had quite a few issues at the base and this was a regal struggle against Dupont. Shifted to 10 and tried to get some front-foot going. 4

Andrew Warwick

The scrum was under pressure as was the maul defence which wasn’t great either and this was a difficult afternoon to be an opposition front-rower. 3

James McCormick

Overthrow for his first dart near the Toulouse line was unfortunate and costly for Ulster. Did well to get a try from some decent approach work. 4

Scott Wilson

Got his hands on an early turnover but the scrums weren’t pretty. There was a strong carry for McCormick’s try. Was replaced at half-time. 4

Alan O’Connor

The skipper had to circle the wagons and just see what could be done which for a while was damage limitation only. Replaced by Henderson. 4

Harry Sheridan

Some decent enough work but this must have been so demoralising. Didn’t stop working and went the distance in very trying circumstances. 4

Matty Rea

Waves of red shirts attacking from all over the park made this such a hard ask. Did what he could and then was called ashore. 3

Marcus Rea

Threw himself into the action at the breakdown but Toulouse largely had his number here. He did really well to secure a late turnover. 5

James McNabney

Ulster’s Irish number eight James McNabney is tackled

Good drive early made some ground but later on dropped a restart in tricky conditions. Some muscular carrying but a tough day at the office. 5
