Pegasus host Ulster Elks at The Dub in the latest Ulster derby in the EYHL on Saturday afternoon.

The two sides last met in October when they shared the spoils following an entertaining 3-3 draw at UUJ.

They now come into this weekend separated by three points and two places in the table with Joel Cathcart’s Elks currently in fourth.

A 4-1 win last weekend came courtesy of goals from Lucy Craig, Leah McGuire, Rachel Houston and Zarha Lowry as they moved level on points with Catholic Institute.

However, they now face a familiar stumbling block as they have failed to beat Pegasus in their five meetings since the start of last season.

If they are to get a result this weekend they will have to stop former Elks player Alex Speers, who has netted three goals this season.

The other EYHL game this weekend sees Ards travel to Dublin to face Pembroke Wanderers.

Last weekend, goals from Phoebe Russell and Zara Malseed helped seal a 2-0 win over Old Alex for the Ulster side and moved them out of the relegation zone.

The result also marked their first normal time win since October 12 when they beat this weekend’s opponents 2-0 at home.

A similar outcome could see Ards climb as high as sixth in the table while overtaking Pembroke in the standings.

The Dubliners come into the game desperate for a win having gone three since their last victory and are just four points above the dreaded relegation zone.

In the Legacy Wealth Management Premier League, Portadown could claim top spot should they better reigning champions Queen’s University’s result.

Last weekend the side moved to within goal difference of top spot and now face struggling Ballymoney at Edenvilla.

Among their ranks is the division’s top goalscorer with Evie Girvan having netted 10 goals, including one in last weekend’s 4-0 win over Armagh.

Ballymoney come in on a run of four games without a win and are just four points above the drop zone, but a victory could see them move level on points with Armagh in eighth.

Elsewhere, Belfast Harlequins host current table-toppers Queen’s University with both sides looking to bounce back from draws last weekend.

The home side were held to a 0-0 stalemate with Omagh while their Student opposition dropped points for just the second time this season as a Jenna McCarlie strike earned a draw with Lisnagarvey.
