A deluge of rain and strong winds has led to travel chaos and event closures as Storm Darragh hits Northern Ireland.
Power cuts, blocked roads, suspended trains and cancelled flights are some of the impacts currently being felt.

Christmas Market back tomorrow!
It has issued an update on facilities affected by Storm Darragh:
- Parks, pitches, open spaces, public toilets and playgrounds are closed and will remain closed on Sunday for essential maintenance following the storm.
- Cemeteries will remain closed on Sunday for essential maintenance.
- The Christmas Market at Belfast City Hall is closed today, but will reopen at 12 noon on Sunday.
- A decision will be made re: recycling centres at 12 noon on Sunday.
- Community and Leisure Centres remain open.

Championship match goes ahead despite club’s concern over ‘dangerous’ conditions
In a statement, the Fermanagh club said: “Today’s match against Ards at Clandeboye Park is going ahead despite our club raising concerns to NIFL and Ards of the extremely and exceptional dangerous weather conditions that our players and management are expected to travel in.”
Power station damaged
Electricity generation has been stopped while the team assesses and addresses the damage.
The storm resulted in “structural damage to the chimney” at the plant, a senior staff member said.
“We are fully committed to ensuring the safe restoration of operations at EP Ballylumford,” said Tim McCullough, station manager at EP Ballylumford.
“The safety of our staff and the integrity of our equipment are our top priorities, and we are working closely with all necessary parties to minimise any disruption to electricity supply.”
M1 reopens
‘Essential travel only’
It adds: “Essential travel only is advised today as conditions on the roads are difficult because of the weather conditions.
“If roads are blocked, it may be necessary to divert Ulsterbus or Goldliner services. Safety is Translink’s number one priority. All passengers should check the Translink Journey Planner or social media channels in advance of travel and to allow extra time for their journeys.
North Belfast paramilitary mural blown down
The mural which bears the slogan ‘Prepared for peace, ready for war’ stood at the entrance to Mount Vernon but the top half of it has this morning been blown over.
Beer Garden buffeted
It posted on Facebook: “Unfortunately, Storm Darragh has taken its toll on our Beer Garden roof and it will not be in use today with part of our carpark cordoned off.

Speed restrictions are in place so, delays are likely, but trains are now due to start running.
All other rail services remain suspended.

Stena Line responds over stranded ferry
Stena Line has told the Belfast Telegraph: “Due to adverse weather conditions caused by Storm Darragh, Stena Superfast VII has been unable to berth in Belfast. Passengers have been informed and are being taken care of onboard.
“The ship is currently safely sheltered on the Antrim coast. Safety is of highest priority to Stena Line and the team onboard are closely monitoring the weather conditions. The ship will berth in Belfast once conditions improve, and it is deemed safe to do so.”
M1 still closed
Road users are advised to use the A1 due to a report of a road traffic collision on the Hillhall Road.
Bus services beginning to return to normal
Services around Cookstown and Magherafelt which had earlier been suspended have now begun.
In Coleraine, 218, 140 and 402 services have all recommenced.
Busses are still not leaving Ballymena Depot due to fallen trees in the area.
