Former JLS star JB Gill could face heartbreak this weekend as he is predicted to become the 11th celeb to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing.

Bookmakers place Gill, 37, as the most likely to miss out on a place in the hotly anticipated final of the iconic BBC dance competition.

The news comes in spite of Gill impressing judges’ week-on-week with pro dance partner Lauren Oakley.

The 37-year-old’s Musicals Week Viennese Waltz saw the couple top the Strictly leaderboard with 39 points.

All but one judge, notoriously hard to impress Craig Revel-Horwood, gave the pair’s routine a 10.

However, the former boy band’s late series run may be coming to an end as he is odds on to go home this weekend.

Betfred’s Kayley Cornelius gives Gill 5/2 odds of being eliminated this Sunday.

“It’s looking increasingly likely that this will be his final performance,” she suggests about the 36-year-old’s chances.

Reflecting on Gill’s journey, she said it would be: “A tough blow for the former JLS star, who has overcome numerous setbacks throughout the series

Gill’s original dance partner, Amy Dowden, was forced to back-out of the show after suffering a medical emergency during Strictly’s Halloween Week.

A further injury meant the 34-year-old dancer had to be replaced for the remainder of the series with Lauren Oakley.

Despite the disruption, Gill and Oakley danced themselves in the top half of the leaderboard and avoided the dreaded dance-off every week since.

However, the former JLS star may now have run out of road with the voting public as fellow contestant Pete Wicks looks “set” to progress to the final.

Wicks, despite finishing bottom of the judge’s leaderboard for the past three weeks, has developed a devoted following.

“Viewers at home are clearly loving the effort and commitment he’s brought to the series, as well as his strong connection with pro-partner Jowita Przystal,” Cornelius observed.

The “unstoppable” former Towie star was given 4/9 odds of being eliminated and a 13/8 chance of making it to the final by Betfred.

The other semi-finalist’s chances were also weighed up by bookmakers, with Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri given 10/1 on being eliminated this weekend.

Comedian Chris McCausland and Miranda’s Sarah Hadland have the bookies confidence, both with 20/1 odds of going home on Sunday.

Gill and Oakley will be hoping to increase their chances with two routines this weekend, a Salsa to Red Alert by Basement Jaxx and a Paso Doble to Requiem for a Tower by Clint Mansell.
