Subway is trading in sandwiches for style with the launch of its debut merchandise collection.
The popular fast-food chain has unveiled a range of t-shirts, sweatshirts and a tote bag, each inspired by beloved menu items.
The clothing pays homage to the Meatball Marinara Sub affectionately dubbed the ‘baller sub’ by fans and the Chipotle Southwest Sauce. The tote bag, meanwhile, celebrates Subway’s ‘Baked Fresh Daily’ mantra.
Kirstey Elston, a representative from Subway, commented: “When creating this fresh new line, we wanted to offer our fans more than just branded merchandise, but items they actually want to wear.”
She added, “And in the spirit of the holidays, we thought why not give it to them for free! “.
The unique designs are the brainchild of Dublin-based illustrator Stephen Heffernan who is renowned for his playful and cheeky illustrations.
However, with only 1,000 pieces up for grabs, sandwich enthusiasts are being urged to act fast if they want to snag some of the complimentary gear.
They are available for free today at www.subway-merch.com, while stocks last!
Those who miss out on the initial release are advised to keep tabs on Subway’s social media platforms for updates on potential future drops.
Kirstey Elston praised: “Stephen did a brilliant job bringing the vision for the line to life, creating a collection of unique designs that pay homage to some of our most popular menu items in a fresh and fun way. We love the entire collection, and are sure our fans will too.”
The illustrator, who has amassed an impressive 55,000 followers thanks to his ingenious sketches, concluded: “I’ve loved working with Subway to help bring to life the brand’s vision for this limited-edition merch.
“We wanted to create fresh designs that embody the iconicity of Subway fans’ favourite menu items, as well as leaning into the brand’s Americana-deli style heritage.”
