One man was killed and another seriously injured when gunfire erupted in a Brampton neighbourhood late Wednesday.

Peel Regional Police say the gunshots rang out in the area of Goreway Dr. and Mayfield Rd. around 11:30 p.m.
Emergency crews responded to the residential neighbourhood and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
One victim, who was reportedly shot multiple times, died at the scene. His name has not yet been released.
The second victim, possibly a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm.
No suspect information was immediately available.
However, police are expected to provide an update in the investigation at the scene Thursday morning.
