Christmas is considered stressful for eight in 10 Brits, new research from Just Eat has found. Brits are so stressed that 80% admit to forgetting to buy items they need numerous times, which is causing arguments among friends and families in half of households.

Plus, over half of us realise they’ve run out of things as they need it, meaning hosts are relying on the convenience of speedy delivery from apps to top-up their shop.

With an average of 12 items being forgotten from the Christmas shop, the staple items Brits find themselves needing can mean the difference between festive bliss and festive blunder. From the practical products that enable hasty hosting – the emergency toilet paper, washing up liquid and toothbrushes – to the products that bring the seasonal indulgence in the form of champagne and chocolates.
