Britney Spears decided to spend her birthday in Mexico with friends after joking online that she was moving south of the border, according to a report.

The pop singer, who celebrated her 43rd birthday on Monday, shared bizarre videos to her Instagram account criticizing paparazzi for their recent coverage of her.
“I’m not really sure why the paparazzi have me going on a plane looking like I’m wearing a Jason mask,” she said in a gravelly voice, referring to Jason Voorhees’s hockey mask in the Friday the 13th slasher films.
“It doesn’t even look like me. I don’t know why I have a torch in my hand, honestly. I think my friend accidently gave it to me.
“Anyways, it’s my birthday. I’m not turning 42, I’m turning five this year. I’m turning five years old and I have to go to kindergarten tomorrow.”
In a second video, Spears said the paparazzi continue to hurt her feelings by portraying her in a negative light.
“They’ve always been incredibly cruel to me,” she said. “The paparazzi and pictures and the way they’ve illustrated me … some of it is extremely cruel. And that’s why I moved to Mexico.”
However, it appears Spears simply jetted off to Mexico to have a good time, seven months after she was granted a divorce from model Sam Asghari.
“Britney treated herself to a fun vacation for her birthday,” a source told People. “She loves Mexico and can’t wait to celebrate in the sun.”
The source added that she flew on a private jet with her friends tagging along.
Spears also showed off a “very cute baby, baby cake” with strawberries inside a chocolate lattice her friend brought to celebrate the occasion.
Meanwhile, Spears kept busy during the trip, sharing two videos of her dancing in racy lingerie and three others in a sexy dress this week.
“I did 7 different versions … Am I bored??? No, not at all,” she captioned one of the videos.
