With December the most popular month of the year for proposals and engagements, Debenhams has launched a massive sale on its wedding dresses. If there is anyone hunting for their dream dress on a budget, the retailer may just have what you need.
Although Black Friday and Cyber Monday are now over, Debenhams is extending its up to 80% off sale for a few days longer. There are various discounts across all departments – including wedding essentials, shoes, accessories, lingerie and dresses.
Some of the biggest deals sees a number of ‘elegant’, ‘flattering’ and ‘expensive-looking’ wedding dresses worth hundreds slashes down to just £30. But shoppers will need to act fast as some sizes are already selling out fast.
One of the wedding dresses reduced by 70% in price is Coast’sIvory Twill Cross Over Bridal Maxi Dress. It was £159 but has dropped down to just £47.70. Sizes include 8-18 and the sleeveless dress features a cross-over front design, bow detail at the back, floor-sweeping maxi length and a sleek, figure-hugging silhouette.
Coast’sTrailing Petal Shoulder Detail Chiffon Wedding Dress has also gone down from £139 to £41.70. The ‘stunning’ open back dress boasts a flattering cowl neckline for a ‘graceful silhouette’ and a floor-length design for a ‘dramatic bridal entrance’.
Another Coast dress has been reduced by an impressive 75%. Its Bow Detail Column Wedding Dress was £119, but shoppers can now get it for only £30. The gown comes with structured boning and an inner corset to provide a flattering, sculpted fit.
For a shorter option if you want to show off your legs, Debenhams is selling thisIridescent Statement Drape Detail Sequin Mini Dress for £30 too. It was £119, meaning shoppers can save themselves £89 by buying it now. All the dresses mentioned above are yet to receive any reviews.
If you’re willing to spend a bit more, Coast’sBandeau Twill Mini With Full Overskirt Wedding Dress is up for grabs for £95.20 – down from £119. This strapless dress is crafted from ‘luxurious’ satin, ensuring a smooth and elegant look.

So far, Coast’sBandeau Twill Mini With Full Overskirt Wedding Dress has received all five-star reviews from six buyers. One wrote: “Super classy gorgeous material and Quality lovely shade of white.” A second put: “Liked it so much bought two… one of each size so I’m not stressing nearer the day.”
A third, who said they bought the dress “last minute” added: “I felt like a princess! I had to order this dress the week before my wedding because my original dress was too big. This was everything I wanted and more and such good quality!”
If money isn’t a setback for you, there is Debenhams’Embellished Cap Sleeve Linear Wedding Dress for £175.20 – down from £219. The dress boasts a contemporary design, inspired by a timeless vintage aesthetic.
In the reviews, Lizzy put: “Beautiful elegant dress. Looks stunning when in person.” Another penned: “Absolutely stunning. I loved this dress…wore it for my wedding and had lots of compliments.”
However, one said that although the dress is “lovely”, it is “a bit heavy”. They added: “Had to return as I didn’t like the way it fit my body, but I totally recommend trying it.” A second wrote: “The embellishments unfortunately looked cheap.”
