Shoppers at B&M believe they’ve discovered the perfect alternative to high-end brand Sol de Janeiro, and it’s only £6. The Summer Beauty sets, which include a 220ml body cream and a 45ml fragrance spray, are available in three different scents – sweet Caramel, tropical Coconut, and juicy Watermelon.
Many customers were quick to spot the similarities between these and the popular Sol de Janeiro products. Sol de Janeiro also offers similar ‘Duo’ gift sets available in stores like Boots, reports the Mirror.
However, the main difference is the price, with B&M’s option being much cheaper than the £25 bundle by the leading brand. Plus, the products in B&M’s set are larger, as Sol de Janeiro provides a 30ml perfume and a 75ml body cream in its pack.
B&M customers were excited about this find just in time for Christmas. One said: “The blue one is lush!” Another commented: “Wow! The [alternative] sets look pretty much identical to the real ones!”
A third asked: “Is this in every B&M?” Someone responded: “Yes, but they’re new, so it may take a while for it to reach all stores, depending on delivery.”
A fifth said: “Omg I need to go check these out!” Some did leave comments about the product not living up to their expectations, and warned shoppers not to “be surprised”.
