A new high-end ‘spa garden’ has opened at the Dunadry Hotel and Gardens in Antrim in a £0.6m investment.
The adult-only retreat for up to 20 guests has been constructed in the former courtyard of the hotel by owner McKeever Hotel Group, which acquired the venue six years ago.
The spa garden includes hot tubs, a sauna, plunge pool and lounging areas with a temperature-controlled glass house. It is accessed from 10 specially-designed bedrooms.
Bridgene McKeever, director of sales and marketing at McKeever Hotel Group, said: “This is a premium, private retreat offering peace, relaxation, and tranquillity for those who need time to rejuvenate by escaping the everyday.”
The group has also launched a private wine and whiskey-tasting venue, The Cellar, inside the hotel.
Ms McKeever added: “Just like The Cellar, the spa garden is all about creating high-end, bespoke, memorable experiences for our guests – those from Ireland and those travelling from overseas.”
The spa garden, which opened on December 2, was designed and built by Pure Fitout.
McKeever Hotel Group reported a £1.6m jump in turnover for the year to September 2023, from £13.6m the year before, although pre-tax profits declined from £1.9m to £1.4m.
The company acquired the Lodge Hotel in Coleraine earlier this year, its sixth venue alongside Co Antrim’s Adair Arms, Dunsilly, Corrs Corner and the Dunadry, as well as Dillons Hotel in Letterkenny.
