Ellen DeGeneres has addressed reports that her new UK farmhouse was flooded during recent storms.

The 66-year-old former talk show host took to social media on Sunday to set the record straight about her Cotswolds property.

“P.S. for those of you concerned, our UK farmhouse did NOT flood,” DeGeneres wrote at the end of an Instagram post celebrating her 20th anniversary with wife Portia de Rossi.

The couple’s move to England came after Donald Trump’s presidential victory, with TMZ reporting they were “very disillusioned” with the election results and decided “to get the hell out” of the US.

A source confirmed to People magazine that DeGeneres had been house hunting in England in early October.

“She ended up finding a house that she loved and purchased it shortly after,” the source said.

The couple sold their Carpinteria estate in California for £75.8 million in August before relocating to the UK.

Initial reports from the Daily Mail had claimed Storm Bert caused severe flooding at the couple’s 43-acre property, which sits near a tributary of the River Thames.

The publication quoted a local resident saying: “The flood waters are rising by the hour. This is the worst I have seen it in years.”

The storm brought days of torrential rain and winds up to 80mph to the Cotswolds region.

Whilst other areas were impacted by flooding, DeGeneres confirmed her property remained unaffected by the severe weather.

In her anniversary post, DeGeneres shared a heartfelt tribute to de Rossi, marking two decades together.

“You are the best thing that ever happened in my life. You take care of me. You help me see the good in everything,” she wrote.

The comedian expressed gratitude for their shared journey, adding: “So happy we get to travel and explore the world together in the next 20 years, and looking forward to our first snowy Christmas.”

The couple began dating in 2004 and married in 2008.

Since relocating, DeGeneres has been spotted enjoying local life in the Cotswolds.

The comedian was seen at Jeremy Clarkson’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog, in mid-November, where she enjoyed an intimate live music session.

During the visit, DeGeneres and de Rossi were joined by James Blunt and The Corrs performed at the venue.

The former talk show host was also spotted sporting a new, shorter and darker hairstyle, departing from her signature platinum blonde look.
