As Black Friday turns to Cyber Monday, that means the sales are drawing to a close. For shoppers looking to secure discounted TV, broadband or mobile plans, time is ticking, with Sky’s Black Friday sale set to end at 11.59pm on Tuesday, December 3.
But there’s still time for shoppers to grab an enticing £168 discount on a TV and Netflix bundle or secure 150Mbps broadband at its ‘lowest-ever price’. Those in need of a new smartphone can also take advantage of deals on devices from Apple, Samsung and Google, which can be paired with Sky Mobile‘s discounted data plans, reports the Mirror.
If you’re searching for more Black Friday deals, our tech experts at The Mirror have selected their favourite Black Friday deals from Sky, EE and Virgin here. So, read on for the best deals in Sky’s Black Friday 2024 sale before they’re gone.
Sky’s ‘lowest price’ TV package
Sky has cut the price of its Ultimate TV Package – which includes Sky Stream, Sky TV and Netflix – to its ‘lowest price’ ever. The plan is now £19 a month – down from the usual £26 – saving members £168 over the 24-month term.
The package comes with a new Sky Stream box, Sky’s plug-in-and-play device that streams live and on-demand content over WiFi without the need for a satellite dish. This provides access to the same blockbuster titles as traditional Sky, with more than 100 channels like Sky Atlantic – the home of The Penguin, The Day of the Jackal and Dune: Prophecy – plus a Netflix subscription at no extra cost.
After the 24-month term, the plan will automatically renew at £31 per month on a rolling contract, but at this point you’re free to cancel and shop around for a new deal.
Sky Glass
Sky has also unveiled a significant discount on its Sky Glass packages. These usually start at £14 a month for the 43″ model, plus £28 for a Sky TV and Netflix bundle. But until Tuesday, shoppers can get it in one simple subscription from £33, down from the usual £42.
Sky Glass is Sky’s own UHD Quantum Dot TV featuring a Dolby Atmos soundbar and built-in Sky TV. It’s available in three screen sizes from 43″ to 65″ and colours including Ocean Blue, Ceramic White and Anthracite Black, with prices now ranging from £33 to £43 depending on your chosen size.
A Sky Glass package includes more than 100 channels and a Netflix subscription with Sky’s Ultimate TV Package, boasting top channels like Sky Atlantic and Sky Documentaries, plus voice control and personalised recommendations.
Sky TV and broadband
For those looking to upgrade their broadband as well as catching the latest TV shows, Sky is offering its packed Sky Stream, Sky TV, Netflix and Full Fibre 150 broadband plan for £38 a month. Usually priced at £39, this includes more than 100 channels with Sky Stream, a Netflix subscription and fibre broadband with average speeds of up to 150Mbps.
Sky has recently unveiled its new One Touch Switch process, designed to make the switch between providers even easier. This eliminates the need for customers to contact their current provider as Sky will now manage the switch on their behalf, as well as offering 24/7 support from a real person with its dedicated switching service.
If you’re happy with your current TV service but crave faster broadband, Sky has also slashed the price of its Full Fibre 150 broadband to its ‘lowest ever price’ of £27 a month on a 24-month plan.
Sky Mobile
It’s not just about TV and broadband, as Sky has also reduced the price of a range of smartphone and data plans in Sky Mobile’s Black Friday sale. Customers can save up to £276 on the new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra at £38 a month – down from £48 – or save £180 on the Google Pixel 9 Pro at £29 a month – down from £34.
There’s also a £45 discount on the iPhone SE, which is on offer at £13 a month. Each device comes on a 36-month plan, with members able to upgrade after 24 months at no extra cost.
But with a shiny new phone comes the need for a hefty data plan. Luckily, Sky Mobile is offering six months half price on select data plans, saving members £15 a month on the 100GB plan and £8 a month on the 25GB plan.
Sky Mobile also offers the perk of rolling over any unused data into a Sky Piggybank each month, ready to be used whenever you need an extra data boost. Sky isn’t the only brand lowering its prices for Black Friday, with Virgin Media‘s sale still running until December 8.
Virgin customers can save up to £255 on a range of TV and broadband bundle offering more than 200 TV channels – including Sky Cinema and Sky Sports – and broadband speeds of up to 1,130Mbps, plus three months of Disney+ for free.
