Barry McGugian is taking on tonight’s bushtucker trial in I’m A Celebrity which sees him getting covered in a mound of bugs on a spinning platform.

The former boxing champion will have to launch balls into hatches to bring the maximum stars for his campmates.

In a preview video shared by ITV, the Clones Cyclone looks surprisingly unbothered by the spinning platform and the carpet of insects.

Presenter’s Ant and Dec shout encouragement at McGuigan, as he tries to gain enough composure to slot his shots for stars.

At one point Ant remarks, “This is a very good sport, I’d like to see this at the olympics.”

The task, called Spiralling out of Control, is the latest challenge faced by the Irish boxer in the jungle. He has so far impressed campmates with his singing ability, while also raising concerns over his sense of direction.

Before he joined the camp, Barry McGuigan said he wanted to take on the jungle challenge before he got “too old” to do so.

There were tensions in the I’m A Celebrity camp in recent days, as radio presenter Dean McCullogh objected to teammates discussing who they would vote for in the camp leader elections.
