The Canadiens acquired forward Emil Heineman from Calgary as part of the deal that sent Tyler Toffoli to the Flames two years ago when Montreal GM Kent Hughes started the rebuilding process.

The 23-year-old Heineman has earned a regular spot with the Canadiens this season and looks like he could be a key part of the team’s rebuild moving forward.
