The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has recalled a number of items this week that present a possible health or allergy risk to shoppers – and those who get their groceries at Morrisons are being urged not to eat one particular product from the supermarket’s shelves.
Foods can be recalled by the FSA for a variety of reasons, including allergens not being properly disclosed on the labels or packaging, or if plastic is detected in the item. When recalling an item, the FSA shares detailed advice on its website about why this product has been pulled from sale, and what you should do if you have purchased any of these foods.
And this week, one food item that has been recalled by the Agency is Morrisons’ own-brand Crushed Garlic tube. Morrisons is recalling the vegan-friendly item due to an ingredient being omitted from the product that prevents microbiological growth, therefore making the product potentially unsafe to eat.
If you have bought Morrisons Crushed Garlic – which comes in a 75g tube, with at Best Before date of October 19, 2025 – you should not eat it, and instead return it to the store it was bought from, for a full refund.
Other items recalled over the last seven days by the FSA include WilderKitchen’s Wilderbee Gochujang Hot Honey, due to an allergy risk, because it contains gluten which is not mentioned on the label. This makes the item a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten or cereals containing gluten.
Any 260g, 350g, or 1.4kg packs of the WilderKitchen item, with a Best Before date of May 11, 2026, should not be eaten by those who have coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten. Instead, return it to the store from where it was purchased for a full refund. For more information, you can email [email protected], or call 07398 706 812.
And lastly, P&B (Foods) Ltd. has recalled its Heera Navratan Korma, as the 450g tins contains cashew nuts which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to cashew nuts, or a general nut allergy.
If you have bought the tin of Korma, and have an allergy to cashew nuts or general nuts, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. For further details please call 01274 660118, or email [email protected].
