The grieving partner of a Co Tyrone man who died in a crash has said she wishes it ‘was all just a dream’.

Ryan Glenn was one of three men killed in the accident in Co Donegal last Friday night.

The 25-year-old died alongside his friend Gordy Galbraith in the tragedy near the village of Liscooley, around five miles from the border with Co Tyrone. Both men were from the Castlederg area.

Mr Glenn’s partner, Stephanie Farmer, said she is struggling to accept his passing, poignantly recalling he “loved me to bits”. “I wish he would just call my phone, I’m still texting Ryan’s phone, waiting on him to reply,” she told the Belfast Telegraph.

The car in which Mr Glenn and Mr Galbraith were travelling collided with another vehicle at approximately 10pm last Friday. A third victim, Samuel Hunter from Lifford in Co Donegal, was taken to hospital following the crash but passed away on Tuesday.

Paying tribute to her partner, Ms Farmer said they had a loving relationship and described him as her ‘best friend’.

“We were just mad about each other. He loved me to bits,” she said. She described Mr Glenn as a loving and devoted father to their six-year-old son, Logan. “He is the image of his daddy — he loves him very much — always and forever,” she added.

Ms Farmer said everyone in Mr Glenn’s life has been devastated by his passing. “He was a loving and caring person, he will be sorely missed,” she said. “I don’t know how I’m going to get on without him — the love of my life is gone.”

A service of thanksgiving for Mr Glenn’s life will be held at Lynch’s Funeral Home, Castlederg at 1pm on Friday. Mr Galbraith, who was 38, was laid to rest on Thursday in Castlederg.

A service of thanksgiving took place in his family home, with interment afterwards in Castlederg Cemetery. Rev Peter Ferguson, rector at Derg Parish Church of Ireland, led the service. The coffin paused briefly between the Derg Arms and Castle Inn, where the deceased socialised. Dergview FC paid tribute to Mr Galbraith, who previously played for the team.

They said: “Gordy was a past player of the club at both youth and senior level and his two sons are currently playing with our youth academy. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the others involved in the accident.”

Mr Hunter, who was in his 70s, late of Murlog, Lifford, and formerly of Cranford, will be laid to rest on Friday in Milford.

A funeral service will be held in Ballindrait Presbyterian Church at 1pm with burial afterwards in the family plot in Milford Presbyterian church graveyard.

Mr Hunter’s wife, Dolores, who was seriously injured in the crash, remains in hospital. A second woman, aged in her 30s, was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Garda have urged anyone with information on the collision to come forward.

The men’s deaths come at a difficult time for the Castlederg community.

Earlier this month, another young local man, Eoin Lynch (29), died in a crash near Strabane.
