Prince Harry and Meghan Markle followed American traditions by celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not alone as they enjoyed the occasion with their children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, at their home in Montecito, California.
A source said that Harry and Meghan are “spending Thanksgiving with friends, who are like family”.
The royals were also likely joined by Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, who lives close by.

Meghan and her mother continue to have a good relationship.
The family “will enjoy the long weekend and having time together without distractions”, the insider added.
The source told Hello: “The holiday season will hopefully bring a slower pace and time for them to just enjoy being together.
“They are excited to create the magic of holiday time and new experiences with their kids.”
Meghan said spending special days with her children got better every year.

The insider added that Meghan “loves cooking and being in the kitchen” and teaching Archie and Lilibet about the Thanksgiving traditions she grew up with.
Meghan has previously revealed that she makes sure there is always “room at the table” for friends who don’t have family when hosting the celebration.
She told Marie Claire magazine: “I was thinking about, in the past few years of having Thanksgiving here, like many of us, I think you always make sure there’s room at the table for your friends who don’t have family, which is really key.”
The Duchess confessed that their holiday celebrations were “always pretty low-key.”

She explained: ‘We’re always making sure we have something fun to do.
“Like any other family, you spend time having a great meal and then what do you do? Play games, all the same stuff, someone brings a guitar — fun.
“I love the holidays.”
