A cleansing balm by renowned skincare brand Elemis has been massively reduced in Amazon’s Black Friday sale – and it’s at the cheapest price we’ve seen (at the time of writing). The ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is a luxurious cleanser that works as a 3-in-1 product to not only deeply cleanse your face, ridding it of make-up, impurities, spf and any pollution from the day, but it is also a nourishing potion that hydrates and keeps your skin looking and feeling healthy.

Usually retailing at £49 on Elemis, the cleansing balm has had 37% knocked off its price, meaning it’s now £31.03 (if you ‘subscribe and save’, for a one time purchase it’s £32.66). Transforming from a balm to a nourishing cleansing oil to a hydrating milk, the product is supercharged with natural ingredients like elderberry oil, padina pavonica (that helps support hydration) and starflower oil, to help soften and smooth your skin.

Made with nine nourishing essential oils, not only will your face feel smooth and clean but your senses will also be enveloped in a collection of herbs and calming essential oils that’ll make your bathroom smell like you’ve stepped foot in a spa.

While £31 may be rather steep for a cleanser (even if it has been reduced from £49), the results are pretty impressive – something I can attest to as someone who uses the cleanser morning and night. While I always used to reach for a less than £10 product in a bid to save money, after using this balm for the first time from a sample inside a beauty box some years ago changed my approach.

The glow it gave me and the reduction in blemishes, pores and more once I started using the Elemis Cleansing Balm was unbelievable – to the point that my friends commented on it and asked what I was doing differently in my skincare routine – and it was this.

And I’m not alone in loving this cleanser, with more than 10,000 five star reviews on Amazon. One said: “Imagine a skincare product that’s like a mini-vacation for your face – that’s exactly what this balm feels like! It soothes your skin, gentle and calming, and you only need a tiny dab to cleanse your entire face and neck. The scent is delightfully natural, with top notes that give a nod to refreshing tea tree. After using it, my skin feels luxuriously hydrated. It’s a bit of a splurge, but believe me, it is worth every penny!! I will not use anything now.”

Another gushed about the cleanser: “This is the absolute business. I hate using soap, and most face washes leave my skin dry and uncomfortably tight, so I’ve been washing only with hot water soaked flannels, which has been fine but lately I’ve noticed my skin hasn’t been its best. I decided to try this based on a raving review in a magazine, and I have to say I’ve been blown away.”

They added: “In just a week, my skin was clearer and softer than it’s been in ages… The result is stunning; fresh, soft, beautifully clean skin – with a mild lemongrass/ herbal medicinal scent. I’ve been so impressed I bought the marine collagen moisturisers to use with it, and my 40 year old skin has looked better, plumper and smoother than it’s looked through my entire 30s!”

A third echoed the praise and said: “Wow I tried this after being recommended it. I wasn’t disappointed. The scent is so refreshing but not overpowering,I use a small amount on dry face and it goes a long way… It removes everything, even waterproof mascara. Been using day and night and my skin has never ever looked or felt so healthy, it’s glowing. My skin is combination I have dry patches and oily T-zone,but now it’s all just perfect and my makeup also looks so much better! This will be my forever cleanser now. Don’t hesitate it’s wonderful!”

For some, the only disappointed was that the tub of the cleanser arrived in a bit of a battered box, with one shopper writing: “I know product is great but arrived with a battered squashed box.” They added how a face cloth – which is standard in this package – was no-where to be seen, leaving them disappointed.

Others weren’t too fond of the scent and said: “I used this product [because] I thought it would be good to get make up off which, I won’t lie, it did a great job. However the smell… while some may like it, it is not for me. It is strong and unpleasant (in my opinion).”

Although most people found ‘It smells absolutely gorgeous’.
