The Stanley Cup, a viral beverage holder, has seen a surge in popularity worldwide. As people strive to reduce their use of disposable plastic, reusable bottles are becoming essential.

However, the price tag often deters potential buyers, with many unable to justify spending over £40 on a cup. But, several stores offer discounts this Black Friday, making it an ideal time for those planning to gift a Stanley this Christmas.

Certain designs of the Stanley Quencher, which holds a substantial 1.2 litres, are available from John Lewis. While some options remain priced at £44.95, others – including Shale Green and Black – have been reduced to £36, saving nearly £9.

The Ash variety of the Stanley Quencher is available at FootAsylum, reduced from £45 to £34.99, a saving of almost £10. This sale price also applies to the Cream Tonal version, similar to one seen in the hands of Love Island’s Molly-Mae Hauge.

Meanwhile, Urban Outfitters is offering the same Rose Quartz Stanley as used by singer Adele. Originally priced at £45, it is now available for £33 as part of a limited-time Black Friday deal, reports the Mirror. The retailer also has the Lilac version reduced to the same amount.

According to the NHS Eatwell Guide, people should aim to drink 6 to 8 cups of fluid a day. This works out to roughly two litres over the course of 24 hours.

Fenwick has reduced the prices of its entire collection of Quencher cups from £45 to £36, offering more unique colours like the Blue Spruce and Plum. Customers have not been shy in expressing their love for their Stanley cup purchases, with glowing testimonials filling up review sections on websites such as Amazon..

One thrilled customer said: “I was initially reluctant to spend this much on what is essentially a water bottle, but now I get it! The Stanley water cup truly lives up to the hype. It keeps water at the same cool, refreshing temperature for hours – even when I took it into a sauna.”

Someone else added: “This is great for when working long 12-hour shifts in healthcare for both water and hot drinks like hot chocolate. I love it!” And a third chimed in: “Amazing, definitely makes me drink more. Looks good and built well!”

However, not everyone’s experience has been positive, with some buyers reporting issues with the cups, particularly around their leakproof claims. A unhappy customer claimed: “There is no mention of it only being leakproof when in the fully closed position.

“So, if you bought it for a child and were expecting it to withstand being knocked over without it spilling you’d be mistaken. Even in the fully closed leakproof position, it leaks. Just drips, but that’s still a leak!”

For those searching for budget-friendly options similar to the costly Stanley cup, there are many alternative tumblers available online. For instance, the Love Clarabelle 40oz Tumbler with Straw & Lid is just £16.99 on Amazon and could be easily mistaken for a high-end brand at first glance.

Additionally, the ICYBLAZE 40oz Tumbler is available in three colours, including some vibrant pinks. Priced from £19.99, this travel mug boasts a “robust, leak-proof lid”, making it an ideal choice for on-the-go use.
