World Wrestling Entertainment has announced that legendary superstar-turned-actor John Cena will make his final appearance in Toronto as an active wrestler when the company hosts Elimination Chamber at Rogers Centre on March 1, 2025.

Cena, a 16-time world champion, returned to the company last July in Toronto at Money in the Bank, where he announced he would have one final run as an active wrestler with the company in 2025, before retiring at the end of the year.

The company announced recently that it will hold its Elimination Chamber premium live event at Rogers Centre, its first event at the stadium since WrestleMania 18 in the early 2000s, on March 1.

The event is an integral part of the lead up to WrestleMania 41, which will take place in April in Las Vegas.

Cena, who has shifted from the face of the WWE throughout the 2000s to an actor, starring most recently in the D.C. Comics series Peacemaker, which just wrapped filming on season 2.
