TV personality Jeremy Clarkson has issued a message on social media following the sudden hospitalisation of fellow presenter Monty Don. The Gardeners’ World host had to cancel a series of talks at the last minute, apologising to fans in Exeter, Truro, Bath, and Nottingham for his absence.

In an Instagram story, Don explained: “Hello. I am so sorry to have disappointed all those people who were going to come and see me in Exeter and Truro and Bath and Nottingham.”

He continued: “But on Friday afternoon, I was rushed to AandE. I was kept in at the hospital over Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and had to have drips and all the rest of it.”

Despite the health scare, Don reassured fans that he was now home and recuperating, hoping to be back to full fitness by the weekend. His post received a flood of supportive messages, including one from former Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson, who recently underwent an emergency heart operation himself.

Clarkson simply urged the Gardener’s World star to “stay well.”, reports the Express.

Jeremy’s sudden health scare was unveiled in October when he took to his column on the Sunday Times to reflect on the “wearisome effects of growing old.”

He revealed that during a vacation in the Indian Ocean, his attempt at swimming seemed to trigger trouble with climbing stairs.

Upon his return to Britain, alarming symptoms emerged, as he became “clammy,” suffered from a “tightness in my chest,” and felt “pins and needles in my left arm.”

The devastating news of Alex Salmond’s fatal heart attack was the jolt that led Jeremy to seek medical help, which revealed a completely blocked artery. Despite the scare, the Clarkson’s Farm celebrity has remarkably bounced back to good health and even made an appearance at the Farmer’s Protest in London.
