The lead singer of the rock band Life of Agony announced he is done living as a woman because his “gender dysphoria has been cured.”

Mina Caputo, 50, took to Instagram to reveal he is in the process of de-transitioning (reversing or stopping gender transition) and reclaiming his birth name Keith.
“Yes, I’m off of hormones, six, seven years now and this January 2025 … my surgery has been booked to remove my fake breasts and I will be lovingly living in my divine male self,” the rocker said quietly in the video posted earlier this month.
“I’ve cured my gender dysphoria,” Caputo continued, noting it took many years before he said he walked “through the fire” and “rose above my misunderstandings of my soul and my spirit.”
The frontman spoke of the pain he’s lived in for the last several years but is now a “more healed version of myself” after doing years of trauma work and therapy.
Caputo added that he is against children transitioning, noting “hormones are disgusting” and he speaks from experience of all the side effects he encountered during his own transition.
He also admitted that he is shocked by how little others in the trans community speak about those life-altering side effects.
He added: “I’ve been through so much over the years. I wouldn’t wish gender dysphoria on my worst enemy. It’s one of the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever been through in my life, and I’m just so happy that it is f***ing over.”
That said, Caputo declared, “I’m very proud of myself,” before adding that he is “changing my name back to Keith.”
Life of Agony is known for albums such as A Place Where There’s No More Pain and their 1993 debut River Runs Red, which was named by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest metal albums of all time.
Caputo’s bandmates showed their support for the singer in the comments.
“Proud of your journey and your raw honesty,” Alan Robert, the band’s bassist and co-founder, wrote. “Always here for you no matter what. We ain’t blood but we are real family.”
