We are so close to Christmas: decorations are going up, Santa’s preparing his list and advent calendars are ready to be devoured. But if you haven’t got yours yet, don’t worry, as Lindt have cut the cost of their Teddy Bear Milk Chocolate advent calendar to under £10.

Boots are the ones with the best discount at £9.75 but… they are now sold out. Boo! Luckily, Amazon has cut theirs down from £12 to £10 and you can get it delivered to your door for free with Amazon Prime. Waitrose are also offering for £10.

The calendar features 24 different Lindt chocolates, ranging from balls (six white, six red) to Swiss milk chocolate (five) to bunny rabbits and teddy bears (three each) – with the piece de resistance being the huge teddy bear at the end. Lindt have been making chocolate for 165 years and remain a fan favourite around this time of year.

The calendar has gone down a treat with Amazon reviewers, boasting a 4.7 out of 8,032 reviews. One happy shopper wrote: “Delicious advent calendar! This was a great purchase and each day provided a tasty chocolate treat. Lovely chocolate and great quality too. Will definitely buy again next year.”

Another added: “Bought for my son it’s lovely thank you I highly recommend this advent calendar it’s worth the extra money.” A third remarked: “This Advent Calendar is much bigger than I expected and seems to have a good variety of products inside. Really happy :)”

Of the negative reviews, one person said: “I expected larger chocolates throughout the month due to the size of the box, a little disappointed.” Another added: “Got for the family bit disappointed. Ordered 8 is for friends and family all reported minimal chocolate and I did find the price a bit high.”

You can pick up the Lindt advent calendar on Amazon, Waitrose or Boots if they get stock back. Elsewhere in the land of fancy chocolate advent calendars, Hotel Chocolat offer their ‘Grand Advent Calendar’ for £80 – but this one is strictly for adults as one door contains a Hotel Chocolat Espresso Martini.

You’ll also find gingerbread men, Portly Penguins and a hot chocolate sachet to boot. If you want to spend a bit less, they have a dark chocolate advent calendar for £13.95 – perfect for a (slightly, dark choc is good for your digestion!) healthier option that’s vegan friendly too. Otherwise, Fortnum and Mason have discounted their Chocolate Truffle advent calendar down to £28.50.
