This year, the moustache has dominated headlines and our social feeds. From A-listers showing theirs off at the Oscars, to the stars of Rivals hitting our screens with some serious 80s ‘taches, 2024 has proven that the trendiest accessory has been right under our noses.
This month in particular, the mo has been unmissable, as Movember saw men up and down the country don facial hair to support men’s mental health. And to mark the end of the month, Movember’s partner Pringles – known for its famously moustachioed Mr. P logo – has teamed up with the UK’s authority on grooming Lee Kynaston, aka The Grooming Guru.
Pedro Pascal
Fish and chips, wine and cheese, Pedro Pascal and a moustache. What do these things have in common? They’re a perfect pair, and one just isn’t as good without the other.
Lee agrees: “Pedro’s thick mo has become a signature part of his look. No matter what the role – Narcos, The Last of Us, or Gladiator II – Pascal gets to keep his trademark ‘tache. Is it about time Pedro Pascal’s facial hair had its own acting credits?”

Jacob Elordi
While his moustache may not be as bold as some on our list, Jacob Elordi’s in-vogue pairing of a moustache and a mullet is a statement in itself – and Lee is a big fan of its resurgence thanks to the Saltburn star.
Lee notes: “Often described as ‘business in the front, party in the back’, the moustache and mullet combo has long been reserved for the likes of Joe Exotic, Billy Ray Cyrus and Bono. But like all good trends, it was only a matter of time before it came full-circle – and Jacob Elordi is the one to make the first move. I love the nostalgia of this newly-revived 80s relic.”

Ncuti Gatwa
He may have starred in Barbie, but don’t be fooled – Ncuti Gatwa isn’t just Ken. The Sex Education star and latest incarnation of Doctor Who has taken the world by storm, and has taken his moustache along for the journey.
For this mo, Lee reckons: “On a day-to-day basis, Ncuti’s well-manicured mo is sleek and refined, but – controversially – I am a huge fan of the horseshoe-goatee hybrid he brought to life as Ken, too. Can we see more of these in 2025?”

Paul Mescal
The Irish heart throb has moved on from his former fresh-faced look with a new ‘tache and beard combo that’s been driving his fans wild.
Lee adds: “With influencer power comparable to that of the KarJenners, the Gladiator II star has inadvertently encouraged men across the country to copy his eye-catching style by donning similar, relaxed facial hair, paired with short-shorts and an earring. It may not be a statement ‘tache, but for furthering the cause of facial hair Paul definitely deserves a spot in my top 10.”

Harry Styles
The former One Direction singer and world-renowned fashionista set the showbiz world alight with his elegant facial hair at Paris Fashion Week this year.
Lee comments: “As experimental with his facial hair as he is with his fashion, Mr Styles is always trying something new. He has recently been sporting a ‘beardstache’ – a hybrid beard/’tache style characterised by a short beard with a slightly longer length moustache. It’s easy to maintain and is the perfect style to go for if you don’t quite suit a standalone moustache.”

Timothee Chalamet
The recent phenomenon of a Timothee Chalamet lookalike competition in New York’s Washington Square Park saw moustachioed lookalikes arrive en masse to compete for the grand prize of 50 dollars. A buzz which few other ‘taches can say they’ve caused.
Lee suggests: “Timothee is just one of the latest batch of male stars with a penchant for the pencil moustache – a suave style popular in the Golden Age of Hollywood (think 1940s Clark Gable) and one great if you find growing thick and bushy facial hair difficult. Recent behind-the-scenes shots from his upcoming feature, Marty Supreme, suggest that his moustache is part of his role as 1940s table tennis star Marty Reisman. I rate it – maybe we’ll see plenty more pencils on the streets in 2025”

Lil Nas X
How do you compliment a gold suit of armour at the Met Gala or a pink faux fur coat in Coach’s Courage to Be Real campaign? With a sleek but subtle moustache of course.
Lee is a big fan: “Lil Nas X’s facial hair isn’t just an add-on – it’s a considered accessory to his flamboyant looks. It’s a simple and refined ‘tache, yet has as much impact as the singer’s bold outfit choices. Sometimes less is more when it comes to facial hair, and Lil Nas X is a perfect example of that.”

Danny Dyer
Rivals is all anyone’s talking about at the moment, with Danny Dyer’s bushy 80’s ‘tache grabbing as much attention as the salacious sex scenes.
Lee says: “We spent years watching Danny in Eastenders with some light stubble, but I imagine the punters in the Queen Vic would have fallen off their stools if they’d seen him walk in with this moustache!
“I love Danny’s statement 80s mo. He’s committed himself to his new Rivals role and it’s great to see a new look from him. It’s such a big change that I wasn’t surprised to hear that his children cried when they realised he’d be doing the school run with his new facial hair!”

Jonathan Van Ness
Everyone’s favourite Queer Eye star wowed fans with their Emmy’s look this year, complete with luscious locks and perfectly groomed ‘tache.
“As a professional hair stylist, Jonathan has always understood the transformative power of facial hair and knows exactly how to groom it perfectly too. JVN combines a thick moustache and a neat beard with long locks, that are always glammed and glossy! A winner in my book,” Lee commented.

Henry Cavill
Cavill is no stranger to a moustache. In his recent feature, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, he sported iconic hipster facial hair. Meanwhile, in Mission: Impossible – Fallout, he grew a Magnum PI-style chevron ‘tache.
Lee comments: “Cavill clearly isn’t afraid to take on a challenge when it comes to facial hair. Maintaining such a bold piece of face furniture requires a lot of grooming, yet he never has a hair out of place. It’s also worth noting that no matter what the style, he pulls it off. So, hats off to Henry Cavill for his dedication to a bold ‘tache.”
