Were I Starmer, or any other Labour politician, I would stop the lip curling about the petition calling for a new General Election which has now hit an astonishing 2.6million. My bet, with these clowns buggering up the country, it will hit up to 6million by the county council elections next May.
It reflects an anger on the streets that this government lied its way to power. Lied to the pensioners over energy, lied to ‘’working people’’ over their taxes and lied to business that Labour was pro-growth when in fact it was pro-deceit.
A lot of famous people signed this petition and turbo-charged to where it is today. The most famous of these, by a long way (and apologies to Michael Caine) is Elon Musk. He simply said: “The people of Britain have had enough of a tyrannical police state.”
Who could argue with that. The Allison Pearson scandal involving Essex police is enough to confirm that. Let’s be honest if she hadn’t had much of the media behind her she could well have ended up in the same prison as those two ladies with their Facebook posts.
Musk’s increasing hostility to what Starmer is doing to the UK is a worry. Although I almost agree with every sentiment I can see Trump is using him as a mouthpiece and that he intends to be tough on us both politically and economically when he moves into the White House in January.
That must be a worry, especially for those who lean to the Right in the UK. We would be in favour of Trump’s policies but against the pain they are causing us personally. It would also give Starmer a platform.
If that did happen I think I have an elegant solution. If a Trump tariff were imposed it would cost the country an estimated £25million which we don’t possess. That would force Starmer to impose even more taxes on us.
At that point the nation would be close to a revolution. Trump and Elon would then offer Labour a deal. Accept the terms of the petition (i.e. stage a fresh election) and we will drop the tariff. Starmer would be furious but what could he do?
It wouldn’t be in his party’s interests to go to the polls but he would have to make the sacrifice for the people.
Voters would know if they voted Labour they would face even more taxes so they would go either Conservative or Reform. Lib-Dims have proved that even with 72 MPS they can’t push a peanut, so they would once again disappear.
So, the petition would have worked. That pub landlord put us on the stage, caught the attention of the richest man in the world and from there everything started to happen.
There is a very uncomfortable feeling about the UK right now. We can’t do anything right. Were I to be one of those 1,100 poor souls in the car plant in Luton who have just lost their jobs prior to Christmas thanks to the ludicrous ban on petrol cars being manufactured after 2030.
We need to abandon that date immediately, unless Labour intends to destroy the car industry. Mind you having seen the stupid things they have done already perhaps this is their ultimate net zero plan. No cars.
