Anti-DUP graffiti has appeared on a wall at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast after a pro-Palestine slogan was removed.
The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust had previously confirmed that the graffiti expressing support for Palestine would be cleaned later this month.
It came after DUP leader Gavin Robinson confirmed that a delay in removing the graffiti had been escalated to Northern Ireland’s Public Services Ombudsman following an official complaint.
It has now emerged that the pro-Palestine slogan has been removed and a new anti-DUP and pro-Plattine message has been sprayed on the wall.
The new graffiti which appeared at the site on Tuesday morning reads “F***k the DUP. Free Palestine”
It replaces a slogan which had been visible outside the hospital on the Falls Road which read: “Stop the genocide. Stop Israeli Terror. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

The DUP leader previously said that a complaint about the presence of the writing was lodged with the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust more than five months ago after he was contacted by local members of the Jewish community.
The slogan is one regularly heard at protests and rallies held by those who support Palestine amid the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
Mr Robinson claimed the slogan painted on the wall is “viewed by many people as a violent call to erase Israel and its population from existence”.
The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust has been contacted for comment.
