Novak Djokovic recently hired Andy Murray as his new coach, with the duo set to work together at the 2025 Australian Open.
And former tennis star Julien Benneteau thinks the Serb has opted to change things up so he can reel in the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev.
Djokovic has dominated tennis throughout his career, winning a staggering 24 Grand Slam titles to write his name into the history books.
But 2024 has been a difficult year for the former world No 1.

Though the 37-year-old won gold at the Paris Olympics in the summer, he was unable to win a single major.
And Benneteau thinks Djokovic has now opted to bring in Murray as he looks to challenge the likes of Alcarez, Sinner and Zverev for Grand Slam glory.
Alcaraz won the French Open and Wimbledon this year, while Sinner secured glory at the Australian Open and US Open.
Benneteau, per Tennisuptodate.com, said: “It’s not because you were a great player that you are a good coach and that guarantees success as a coach.
“Andy Murray will have the role of coach, not trainer; he will not teach him how to hit a forehand or a backhand.
“I think Djokovic has a real motivation to reach 25 Grand Slams, to be the only one to have done it, and he will do everything for it.
“And the fact that Murray joins him in his team, it is a signal that he sends to the others and also to himself in order to have another voice, another vision on the game of Alcaraz and Sinner to be able to beat them in five sets.
“We must not forget [Alexander] Zverev, who finished the year strongly.
“And I think it is in this perspective that he calls on Andy Murray.”
Murray retired from tennis himself earlier in the year.
The Briton walked away after playing doubles at the Paris Olympics alongside Dan Evans.
Murray is, however, now poised to help Djokovic as the Serb looks to move ahead of Margaret Court with 25 Grand Slam titles.

Djokovic would already have surpassed Court’s record if he’d won a few more Grand Slam finals.
The veteran holds the record for the most final losses – as well as the most victories.
Djokovic and Murray competed in seven Grand Slam finals while they were both playing.
Their first was back in 2011, with Djokovic crushing Murray in straight sets to win the Australian Open.

Murray got revenge when the Briton won his first Grand Slam title in 2012.
The tennis legend also got the better of Djokovic in the final of Wimbledon in 2013, too.
And whether Djokovic can win one more major, to scale even greater heights, remains to be seen.
