Ed Sheeran has been criticised by football fans after gatecrashing Ruben Amorim’s post-match interview following Sunday’s 1-1 draw between Ipswich Town and Manchester United.
The match at Portman Road ended in a stalemate after Omari Hutchinson cancelled out an early goal from Marcus Rashford.
After the game, Amorim spoke to Sky Sports.
But the 39-year-old was interrupted by Sheeran, who decided to gatecrash the interview and exchange a big hug with Jamie Redknapp.

Given Amorim was midway through giving his thoughts on the match, many football fans have now criticised the singer.
“Am I the only one thinking that was mad rude from Ed Sheeran to jump in on Amorim first interview like that??” were the words of one user.
A second said: “It was indicative of his attitude being that he can do as he pleases. A more decent thing to do would’ve been to wait until they finish, then talk to Redknapp.”
A third user on X wrote: “I’m honestly a bit aghast at how rude that was from Ed Sheeran. Amorim should have told them all to get f****d.”

Another said: “Don’t care who he is, but think this was so rude and disrespectful.”
A fifth said: “It’s not an overreaction to say this was incredibly disrespectful by Ed Sheeran. Wait for the interview to finish. Don’t care what your standing is in society or who you think you are, have respect & courtesy.”
And a sixth fan raged: “Arrogance of Ed Sheeran then just to interrupt an interview. P**s off man.”
Amorim had gone into the game hoping to steer United to victory at the first time of asking.
He got the dream start he wanted when Rashford poked the Red Devils ahead after just two minutes following a pinpoint delivery from Amad Diallo.
But Ipswich improved after a shaky start, with Hutchinson’s deflected effort enough to earn a point.
Amorim admits that United ‘have a lot to improve on’ as they lost more ground in the race for the top four.
Yet the former Sporting Lisbon boss insisted he was pleased with his side’s intent, while he also hailed Andre Onana for making some ‘great saves’, too.

“They tried to do it, that’s the main point,” he said.
“We have a lot to improve, but they tried. This is the first point; the most important point.
“They were thinking too much during the game, trying to cope with everything we said during training. But it was [just] two trainings.
“We could win this game, but also Onana did great saves. It’s always tough to play in this league and we will improve in the future.”

On his players, he added: “They are intelligent and they have to believe in that.
“And they have to believe and remember they are good players, and they have to enjoy, so we will try to do that, giving information, trying to help them.
“It’s important for me to know the players – what they like to do, what they are capable of doing, and we need time to find that. Today was not a good result, but we will improve in the future.”
