Local residents have had to step in to control traffic after major flooding caused by Storm Bert. Residents in the community have been seen helping clear the roads between Chelsea Road and Whitehall Road and marshalling traffic following flooding.

The weather has caused major chaos across the South West, including traffic delays, power cuts, and flooding. Speaking to BristolLive, a witness shared: “It is chock-a-block traffic with two local residents in the community controlling the traffic and clearing up the streets.”

There were floods on Whitehall Road and under the bridge by Easton Community Centre. They added: “”Floods on Whitehall Road and under the usual bridge by Easton Community Centre. The bridge gets flooded on a regular but never have I seen this much mayhem before. Massive queues at Eastgate Retail Park too.”
