A woman was rescued from a car after a crash in Bristol this morning (Thursday, November 21). Emergency services were called to the A420 Church Road, in Lawrence Hill, at about 8.30am.

The crash involved a car and a motorbike. The road was cordoned off as police, paramedics and firefighters rushed to the scene.

The fire crews used cutting equipment to rescue a woman who was trapped in the vehicle involved. She is not believed to have suffered serious injuries.

Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 8:45am by police colleagues to a road traffic collision. Crews from Temple and Avonmouth responded and used cutting equipment to rescue a woman from the vehicle involved. She was treated by ambulance colleagues on the scene.”

Avon and Somerset Police added: “We were called at around 8.30am today (Thursday 21 November) to reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a car and a motorbike. We do not believe anyone has sustained serious injuries, but the road was closed while emergency services are in attendance.”
