Drivers beware: There’s a new twist in the carjacking game.
York Regional Police say on Nov. 20 around 7:10 p.m. they responded to an alleged carjacking in the area of Kirkham Drive and Karachi Drive in Markham.
Cops say a male bicyclist allegedly rode into the side of the female victim’s Cadillac Escalade and when the victim got out to check on the male, a dark coloured sedan pulled up behind the Escalade.
Police say two additional suspects exited the sedan, threatened the victim with a firearm and stole her vehicle.
All three suspects fled the scene together and the victim was not injured.
The victim’s vehicle is described as a black 2024 Cadillac Escalade with Ontario licence plate DCFT 014.
The suspect on the bicycle was described as a Black male about 20 years old but there were no descriptions available for the two remaining suspects.
