Coleen Rooney opened up on the ‘difficult’ times she has faced his her marriage to former footballer Wayne Rooney.
The TV personality, 38, made the admission in Thursday’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Here during a candid conversation.
Rooney has been married to the former Manchester United star since 2008, with the couple sharing four sons: 13-year-old Kai, 10-year-old Klay, seven-year-old Kit and five-year-old Cass.
During their marriage, the two have faced several very public hurdles, with the former striker involved in a few cheating scandals.
It was reported in 2010 that he’d cheated on his wife with two sex workers while she was pregnant with his first child.
Nine years later, he was snapped in a hotel lobby with an unknown woman in the early hours of the morning.

During a chat with fellow campmate and former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse, Rooney opened up on her past relationship issues.
Detailing how she and Rooney had decided to get married young as they had been forced to “grow up fast,” she touched on the problems they’d been through.
Explaining that her husband has been in the limelight since the age of 16, she noted his mistakes hadn’t been forgiven by the public.
“Since the first mistake he’s made that’s been in the public… People have not forgiven,” she stated.
“When things have happened the public have wanted it to just go, ‘Oh, split, you know, that’s it, split them up.’
“But the fact is, there’s always been love still there.
“It has been difficult, but we’re happy now, after all those years, we’re a team.”
Speaking later to influencer GK Barry, Rooney detailed Wayne’s unexpected romantic side.
She shared how he writes her poems, to which Barry asked: “Wayne Rooney?”
“You know the hotel pads? He was always writing a little poem and putting it in his bag and he’d give it to me when we got home,” Rooney recalled.
“They’re nice to keep, but I can’t remember the last time he gave me one.”

As she chatted to the cameras in the Bush Telegraph, she continued to reflect on her marriage.
“Wayne is romantic in ways,” she added. “We’re not the lovey dovey couple in public, but little things like that – I think it keeps the relationship alive.
“It’s special when someone’s done something just for you, and the words mean something.”
Before she entered the jungle, Rooney explained what she’d told her children about her stint on the show, and why she didn’t tell her youngest sons.
