CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES
It’s so sad and so disappointing to read the Nov. 16 article titled “Tears, anger as Toronto City Council debates honouring Christianity” (Justin Holmes) but not entirely unexpected. Toronto has become so woke and progressive. However, not yet “woke” enough. There are still councillors who refused to support a simple motion to recognize the month of December as Christian Heritage Month. Eleven councillors were absent for the vote. So, the number who opposed the motion could have been higher. This from a city that already recognizes heritage and special months for the following: Asian, South Asian, Dutch, Irish, Polish, Tamil, Bangladeshi, Jewish, Indigenous Peoples, Black History, Moroccan, German, Islamic, Latin-American, Women’s History, Ukrainian, Toronto Caribbean Carnival, Italian, Black Music, Portuguese and LGBTQ+ Pride. And Toronto days of recognition are too numerous to list. The motion finally passed with much controversy. Too many of our leaders in the West are working hard to destroy the very civilization that is built on Christian principles: Belief in God, justice, truth, rule of law and love of neighbour. We have reached a time of crisis. We are willing to recognize “rights,” “diversity” and “inclusion” and yet reject Christianity. We are abandoning our true identity which is the foundation of all human rights. We do so at our own peril.

TRUDEAU’D IT
Just the other day as I was driving away from a meeting with a customer, I thought, “Darn, I think I Trudeau’d that,” in other words, I messed it up. Just like Trudeau has to anything and everything he’s done. So we should give him the legacy he deserves. Canadians should coin a metaphor, so to speak, the analogy is that when something or someone messes up, they Trudeau’d it applicable to all degrees. So Pierre, when you get the job, don’t Trudeau it.
