Today’s snowfall in Bristol has brought the first taste of winter, leaving a light dusting of the white stuff across large parts of the city.

Snow began falling this morning, with even the city centre getting more than a dusting. A 15-hour yellow Met Office weather warning for the UK for snow and ice came into effect at 7pm last night.

Forecasters have warned of travel disruption and the possibility of power cuts as Arctic air makes its way across the UK. Here at BristolLive, we will be keeping you updated with the latest forecasts and warnings and and disruption on the roads.

With this in mind, we will be providing updates on our Bristol Live Breaking News & Top Stories WhatsApp group. Whether it be road issus or the latest Met Office warnings, we will be sending them out on WhatsApp and you can get the latest straight to your phone.
