The Calgary Hitmen have acquired Minnesota Wild prospect Kalem Parker from the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for the rights to prospect Nathan Gardiner, a second-round pick in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft and a third- and seventh-round pick in 2026.

The 20-year-old Parker is in his fifth Western Hockey League season and was selected by the Wild in the sixth round of the 2023 NHL Draft. He was a critical piece in Moose Jaw’s run to the WHL championship and Memorial Cup tournament last season. Parker was acquired by the Warriors from the Victoria Royals earlier in the 2023-24 campaign.

“Kalem possesses a two-way game and brings veteran and championship experience,” said Hitmen general manager Garry Davidson. “He will be a very valuable addition to the right side of our defence group.”

The product of Clavet, Sask., recorded a career-high 42 points (6g, 36a) in 63 games last season. He has tallied 12 points (3g, 9a) in 19 contests this campaign.

Parker has 239 regular-season WHL games under his belt, as well as 20 playoff contests.
