Shoppers have been urged to double check if they have purchased any of Morrison’s Jonas 1 Litre Plastic Drinks Bottle as all four colours, blue, red, pink and purple, are being recalled. The store has deemed the product unsafe after a dilemma with the plastic cap came to light.
Issuing a product recall notice, the high street supermarket explained: “The plastic cap poses a choking hazard and the nozzle detaches with minimal force that also poses a choking hazard.” It’s worth noting that no other bottles in the Jonas range are being recalled at the moment.
If you do find yourself in possession of one of these plastic bottles, Morrisons advises to stop using it immediately and return the item to your nearest store. You will be provided with a full refund and don’t need to worry about providing a receipt to get this.
Morrisons added: “No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”
This is the latest recall by the store but a few other products are still being actively recalled. Including Perkier Salted Caramel and Dark Chocolate Bars. The bars are also being recalled from Tesco and Waitrose by the manufacturer, specifically the multipacks containing three bars of 37 grams with the best-before date 08-October-2025.
The bars are being pulled due to an allergen warning as they may contain almonds which aren’t mentioned on the label, putting any customers with a nut allergy at risk of health issues. Perkier has apologised for the inconvenience of their recall and customers can return their bars to the store they bought it from for a full refund, regardlles of whether they have a receipt for their purchase or not.
