A man who tragically died in a workplace accident in Co Tyrone last week has been named.

Messages of condolence have been shared following the passing of ‘Asma’ Belo Diogo, who was identified in a death notice posted on social media.

Described as a “loving father, son, partner, and friend,” Holmes of Dungannon Funeral Directors and Memorial Masons confirmed his passing.

They added that he will be “loved and remembered by all those who knew, loved, and worked with him.”

Emergency services were called to the Trade Mouldings production plant on Sandholes Road in Cookstown on the morning of November 13, following reports of an incident involving a worker at the factory.

The company, which manufactures doors for the home furniture market, confirmed that Mr. Diogo, who lived in Dungannon, was a member of its staff.

Last week, management at the Cookstown production plant expressed their condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased.

“It’s with great sadness that we have to report there has been a fatal accident involving one of our employees in our factory this morning,” the directors said in a statement.

“Our condolences are with his immediate family at this time.

“The incident is currently under investigation by the police and HSE.”
