Highways works are scheduled to take place on the M4. The works involve general maintenance and inspections and it means part of the motorway is going to be closed for two nights.
The works are set to be carried out between the M4 J18 roundabout and the A46 Cold Ashton roundabout. The partially motorway closure is scheduled to begin on Monday November 18 from 8pm to 6am.
The National Highways website states: “We’ll soon be carrying out general maintenance works, such as drainage, sign repairs, sweeping and inspections, between the M4 J18 roundabout and the A46 Cold Ashton roundabout. This will maintain safety and improve journeys, while preventing the need for unplanned closures.
“We’ll carry out this work weeknights between 8pm and 6am only, when there is less traffic on the road, starting from the evening of Monday 18 November. It will take us up to two nights to complete the works.
“During the day the road will be open as usual.”
