Josie Gibson is set to grace Channel 4 with her own TV show, marking a return to the network 14 years after her Big Brother fame.

The This Morning presenter began to establish herself as a television host more so following Philip Schofield’s exit from the popular daytime programme. ITV chiefs, faced with the need to rotate presenters, brought Josie into the fold.

Her popularity soared after her appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here last year, making her a hit with viewers.

It’s no surprise then that she was quickly chosen to front the Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide. The show promises to bring together a host of celebrity friends, mixologists, financial experts, and tech aficionados.

Josie and her team will be reviewing the hottest Christmas gifts for every budget, sharing cost-cutting tips and unveiling this year’s must-have purchases in collaboration with Smyths Toys Superstores, reports the Mirror.

The programme will air in two segments. Discussing the new venture with The Sun, Josie said: “I love Christmas, so hopefully this show will help take out some of the stress. There’ll be festive laughs and great guests.”

Earlier in September, Josie had revealed she would be taking a break from her role on This Morning to focus on her new presenting opportunity. The television favourite is set to front a new series delving into the world of luxury travel, focusing on sumptuous first-class flights and opulent hotels.

In a chat with Express.co.uk about her upcoming project, she shared her enthusiasm: “I’ve got loads of things in the pipeline, I’m still very involved with This Morning, I’m very grateful for This Morning and everything they’ve helped me with because they grew me as a presenter. I should be around at Christmas on the [This Morning] sofa, so then I will get back on the road and try to make it all work as much as I can. It is going to be amazing because I’m going to be exploring how the other half live, like the first class travel. You know when you walk through the airplane and you think, I wonder what is that way? I’m going to be seeing all the stuff that is the other way. I love that I can still experience things like that and it absolutely shocks me.”

Making light of her exciting role, she added: “It’s a tough gig, but someone’s got to do it. I’m so happy that they’ve asked me, I’m really happy! We’ve got quite a few destinations to go to, so yeah we start filming this week.”

As the countdown to the new series of I’m A Celebrity begins, Josie divulged just how challenging the show really is.

She revealed to OK!: “Yes! I’m not going to sugarcoat it, it’s really hard and it takes you places, mentally and physically, that you didn’t think you were going to go to. I really thought there’d be some element of a “studio” to the camp, but there really isn’t. It’s an actual jungle and there’s nowhere to hide. Viewers see every single version of someone.”
